Do You Know How to Password Protect Word 2010 Document

Have you ever confused that how to password protect Word 2010 document before? It is not a big issue but some persons have thought it is a quite difficult thing for them. At last, they even not attempt to find out the steps when they have no idea about how to do.



As far as I am concerned, that is really a mistaken viewpoint. I think the persons can totally search online and find out a good solution to do that.

Therefore, if you are the guy I am talking about, do you take action now? If you don’t, why not have a try now? In my opinion, the persons who didn't search for a method about how to password protect in Word 2010 document is by no means a good person. At least I will think he or she is a lazy guy.

Therefore, if you think your Word 2010 document is important enough to encrypt with a password. You can just create a password on it. I am not kidding. I think to create a password on a Word 2010 document is safer than not. Just think that if there are large numbers of security material in your Word 2010 document, especially in your company, to password protect Word document is better than a blank password.

At least, you don't have to worry about the data in it will be stolen. It is a psychological effect but it will help you sleep at night all the time.

However, if you are really a lazy guy to learn how to password protect a Word document 2010; you are so lucky today because I will share the specific steps here. Just follow the following steps and see how to password protect Word document 2010 as below:

Step 1: Double click the target Word 2010 document that you would like to encrypt and then open it. It is the first but the most important step and without this step you can't finish the next step.

Step 2: Now you have open the Word 2010 document. Next you can see a File button on the top left of the document. Once you move your mouse to here, the place will be high light. Just click the button.

Step 3: After the second steps, you can see a lot of options. The fifth option is the Info. Just click the Info option and then you can see the sub option named Permissions. Under the Permissions you can see the sub option – Encrypt with Password. Just click it.

Step 4: After clicking the Encrypt with Password you can see a pop up window and it need you to type the password you want to create. Remember your password deeply and after clicking the Ok button, next time when you open the Word 2010 document, you will need to press your password in order to use or see it.
